Insurance company slogans are misleading or encourage buyers to underinsure.

Only pay for what you need

You need no insurance until you need it. It is impossible to know in advance what insurance you need, and this slogan  encourages people to under insure.

Many years ago their slogan was "the company that stands by you" and we had their insurance. While stopped at a light (with a state supreme court judge in the car) we got hit by another car running the red light. They canceled our insurance!

USAA: What you're made of, we're made for

What does this mean?? We are mostly made of water. Do they sell flood insurance?
