I have an excellent credit rating. But Equifax divulged my personal information TWICE, so I suspended them. I think anyone in my situation would. The other credit bureaus (TransUnion and Experion) are not suspended.

A week ago I applied for a B&H Photo PayBoo credit card so I could save sales tax on a large purchase. Yesterday I got a letter from Comenity Capital Bank (Columbus, OH) stating that I was denied because my Equifax account was frozen. Furthermore, I must wait 30 days before applying again. They claim to be unable to choose one of the other credit bureaus.

A consumer should have the right to block a miscreant credit bureau without suffering damage (it cost me over $100 to order without PayBoo).
