The only reason that the US needs to take over Greenland is so that Trump can say he added territory to the US. This would be the first addition since 1947 when we acquired the Trust Territory of the Pacific—most are now independent states. Needing Greenland for defense is a smokescreen because we already have permission (by treaty) to do anything militarily that we want to do in Greenland. We used to have 17 bases; now we have just one. BUILD!

Then there is the matter of the Nobel Peace Prize. This "snub" has prevented removing the Madura government in Venezuela in favor of the duly elected María Corina Machado. And now Trump wrote a scathing letter to the President of Norway blaming him. The Nobel Prize Committee is an independent entity.
